
Phebe Macrae Corcoran (1997) is a multimedia artist working primarily with textile, video and words. Utilizing humor, memory and ritual, Macrae Corcoran engages themes such as family, legacy, grief, love and dogs. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
I make art:
1.so that after the earthquake what I have done can be found or not found in the rubble
2. so as to deepen the channels between my body and the ghosts (your ghosts, my ghosts)
3. because it is where I find a great deal of meaning.
